Levenshulme Pond Stanbrook Falls
Levenshulme Pond Stanbrook Falls, a delightful Levenshulme Garden
situated next to Highfield Country Park. In this oasis of tranquillity you will find a beautiful garden pond teaming with wildlife and fascinating creatures. The Levenshulme pond is surrounded by an abundance of different varieties of plants and flowers that give off a beautifully sweet scented aroma, especially on a warm summers evening. From the relaxing scent of Lavender to the sweet smell of both Climbing and Miniature Roses, and also the heady scent of the just blooming sweet peas filling the air.
This Levenshulme Garden paradise has taken approximately 2 years to construct, from a non-descript blank landscape blossomed a beautiful sanctuary that attracts a fantastic variety of insects, butterflies, birds, hedgehogs, squirrels and even the local fox; with this vast range of
interesting and wonderful creatures coming for a meal at the bird table café or taking a drink from the bubbling pond. We have been visited by Jay’s, Sparrow hawks, Bull-Finches, Robin’s, Finches, Blue Tits, and of course the good old Magpies and Sparrows among these beauties.
Also situated next to the Levenshulme pond is our Insect Hotel with its living roof, filled with rotted wood, branches and straw amongst other things which provides a haven for all different creepy crawlies. There is even a hedgehog house in the basement which is visited nightly by our resident hedgehog Harry or Harriet, whichever the case may be. And finally you come to our raised bed herb garden filled with Mint, Rosemary, Parsley, Thyme, Basil and Chives which adds to the originality of this heavenly garden pond.
Stanbrook Falls, a delightful Levenshulme Pond where you would least expect it.
